Jamaican Youth Upliftment Program
is a nonprofit focused on uplifting and empowering Jamaican youth. Through education, mentorship, and skills development, JYUP aims to create pathways for young people to thrive and achieve their goals. The organization works within communities to provide access to resources, support networks, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. By fostering a sense of responsibility, leadership, and community, JYUP helps Jamaican youth contribute to the positive transformation of their society, while building a brighter future for themselves and the nation.

I started JYUP (Jamaican Youth Upliftment Program) because I saw the immense potential in Jamaican youth being held back by a lack of access to finance and to basic resources, mentorship, and opportunity. Growing up, I witnessed first-hand how many bright, talented young people were unable to pursue their dreams simply because they didn’t have the support they needed. That reality stayed with me.JYUP was born out of a desire to change that — to create a structured, sustainable way to uplift the next generation. We are committed to sponsoring and mentoring youth across all 14 parishes of Jamaica, helping them not only with financing and essentials like school supplies, uniforms, and food, but also guiding them through high school, college, trade school, or entrepreneurship.This isn’t just charity; it’s a movement, it’s an investment in Jamaica’s future. Our mission is grounded in the belief that when you empower one, they can empower many — “each one teach one.” Watching our youth grow, succeed, and then return as mentors to give back is proof that this model works.JYUP is more than a nonprofit — it’s a movement of hope, transformation, and legacy.

Jamaican Youth Upliftment Program is a legally registered and fully legitimate non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Jamaican childrenWe want to reassure all our donors and potential donor that 100% of your support goes directly toward assisting children across Jamaica.Our primary mission is to sponsor five youth from each of Jamaica’s 14 parishes, a total of 70 children, providing them with essentials such as food, school supplies, uniforms, money and access to personal development programs.The selected children will range from basic school , grades 1 through 6 and grade 7 through 11. The candidates after graduating high school will be assisted throughout college, trade school or whatever path - entrepreneur or otherwise they desire to choose.( The sponsored upon completion will be big brothers/sisters to help usher the new batch - each one teach one- each one reach one). And the cycle continues.

Beyond the primary goal, we will also launch a Request Fund/Assistance Program, allowing families and youth not selected in the primary group to apply for help as needs arise. No child will be left behind if we can help it.Additionally, we will host charitable events across the island, including school supply drives, uniform giveaways, and fun day events to uplift and encourage the spirit of our youth.We are proud to be a transparent and accountable initiative, and we deeply value the trust of every individual, organization, or business that chooses to support us.Sincerely,
